The commercial base of Syngenis
Manufacturing is the commercial base of Syngenis and a major pillar in its own right. We manufacture custom synthetic DNA and RNA oligonucleotides for customers across research, diagnostics, and early development, and we are extending into regulated, human grade supply. Manufacturing is our main entry point for customers and the foundation upon which the rest of the platform is built. Customers engage Syngenis for reliable, repeat production and order through the Discovery AI system, our online quoting and ordering platform.
A standalone division with support from an Australian base
Demand for custom DNA and RNA is substantial and growing quickly, driven by the rise of RNA medicine, molecular diagnostics and genomics. Yet local, regulated capability in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region remains limited, leaving developers dependent on offshore supply with long lead times and complex logistics. Syngenis manufactures on home soil, giving local and regional customers an onshore advantage and/or alternative. We can supply customers anywhere.

Research grade materials and support
Our GLP research grade facility is operational and generating revenue today. We supply custom oligonucleotides for research, diagnostics, and early development, supported by specialised synthesis and analytical equipment, established quality systems, and an experienced technical team. Research grade supply provides recurring revenue, close technical interaction with customers, and early visibility into programs that may progress towards regulated use. It is the main entry point for customers and engenders long term engagement and support.
Clinical grade laboratory
Alongside the research grade laboratory, we are building a GMP, human grade DNA and RNA manufacturing facility for regulated diagnostic, clinical trial and approved human use, targeted operational from January 2027. GMP manufacturing requires higher standards of quality control, documentation, traceability and oversight than research grade supply, and the facility has been designed as a flexible, human grade environment able to support a range of regulated applications. When complete, Syngenis expects this to be one of the only domestic GMP oligonucleotide manufacturing facilities of its kind in Australia.
Chemistries only a few can make
Some chemistries are far more complex to make than standard oligonucleotides, and are produced by only a small number of manufacturers globally. PMOs are one example, used in advanced therapeutic and selected diagnostic applications, and sitting behind high regulatory and operational barriers. Establishing this capability in Australia would give local developers domestic access to chemistries currently sourced almost entirely from overseas. This gives Syngenis a highly differentiated position.
