2-Methoxyethyl RNA or 2’-MOE RNA is a nucleic acid analogue with promising features for Life Sciences applications. The only difference to normal RNA is the methoxy-ethyl residue attached to the 2’-O-position. This modification provides better target binding affinity, which makes it a very efficient molecule for antisense applications. We offer 2’-MOE with phosphodiester or phosphorothioate linkages. Phosphorothioate bonds are phosphodiester analogues in which the non-bridging oxygen has been replaced by sulphur, increasing resistance against nuclease digestion.
Higher binding affinity towards its complementary target
Offers an enhanced biological half-life
Very good for antisense oligonucleotide design
